Law firm Silverbeck Rymer has announced record turnover of £17.35 million for the 2006 / 2007 financial year – with the fast growing business also revealing a new strategy to strengthen its position as a UK market leader and drive future growth.
In a strategic decision to maximise the potential of the firm and its client service levels, Silverbeck Rymer has opted to become a claimant only practice and run off the defendant side of the operation.
Said Silverbeck Rymer’s Chairman, Jim Rymer:
“We are very excited about what we can achieve with our new business model
“It is a strategic decision to focus on the claimant side of the business, including high value claims. It is where our future lies.
“Over the last few years, the growth of the business has been driven by our claimant work. We now handle in excess of 12,000 personal injury claims per year and have the resources, clients and technology to further increase our market share.”
Added Jim:
“We are in the process of running off all our defendant work and all defendant lawyers and support staff have been absorbed into the claimant side of the business. There have been no redundancies – quite the opposite, we are recruiting for more people to facilitate our ongoing expansion.
“Our defendant clients understand the business logic of our decision and have been very supportive.”
Concluded Jim:
“We have invested heavily in technology and a new case management system to ensure that we are able to meet and indeed exceed the demands of our clients. There is a massive window of opportunity for the firm moving forward. The legal market is changing and we are well positioned to lead this change. We have the corporate structure to act quickly and realise the considerable opportunities the new legal landscape provides.”
